Size Doesn’t Matter has quickly become the single-most successful national outreach campaign Canadian Jewish student groups have ever launched. In just days, the Size Doesn’t Matter website hosted hundreds of thousands of students from all across the country, giving them an opportunity to learn about Israel’s accomplishments in such areas as innovation, human rights, and the environment.

The Size Doesn’t Matter campaign is a cutting-edge social media experience that will include viral videos, an interactive website, feature films and promotional items.  The Size Doesn’t Matter website is drawing large numbers of students to information about pro-Israel speakers and campus cultural events and the campaign has energized a group large group of international bloggers, all eager to report on campaign developments.

As quoted in the February 24th Globe and Mail, “The site supplies facts about the country’s medical and communication-technology industries, its population, and its environmental efforts…It’s the idea of hearing about Israel in the bigger picture, Israel outside the conflict, Israel as a complete country.”

“The response has been overwhelming,” said Rebecca Cherniak, Israel Affairs Chair for the Canadian Federation of Jewish Students. “The Size Doesn’t Matter campaign is encouraging a whole new segment of the campus community to look at Israel in a positive light and to understand the big accomplishments this small country has to offer.”

In February 2010, students from 23 universities across the country joined together to launch a nationally branded and coordinated campaign called Size Doesn’t Matter.  Aimed at highlighting the multitude of Israeli accomplishments and contributions, this campaign is the result of the combined efforts by the Canadian Federation of Jewish Students (CFJS), local Hillels, Jewish Student Associations, and Israel on Campus organizations across Canada.
